Avatar 2 Disney Plus

Avatar: The Way of Water was a huge hit in theaters thanks to James Cameron’s huge vision for the technologically advanced and stunning sequel. But now, fans of the blockbuster are wondering when they can watch it at home. When is Avatar 2 going to be on Disney Plus?

Right now, producers haven’t officially announced any release date for Avatar: The Way of Water’s arrival on Disney Plus. Luckily, there are some predictions floating around that are not too far in the future.

When is Avatar 2 coming to Disney Plus?

Avatar: The Way of the Water is coming to Disney Plus around July 5, 2023.

Disney has not confirmed the exact date, but this prediction is based on the release schedule of multiple streaming services. The movie reached the digital market on March 28, 2023, a little more than 90 days since it premiered in theaters. Now, experts are predicting it’d be 90 days after the digital release before it launches on Disney Plus to make the most of the digital release.

Even more specifically, Disney Plus releases large movies on Wednesdays. This makes July 5, 2023, a pretty safe bet for fans of the whimsical visual film.

Will there be an Avatar 3?

Avatar: The Way of Water grossed over $2.3 billion at the box office, making it one of the most successful movies ever to hit theaters. For this reason, fans should definitely expect more Avatar movies in the future.

Cameron is already working on Avatar 3, which has a tentative release date on December 20, 2024. Oh, and Avatar 4 is possibly coming on December 18, 2026. If you still haven’t had enough Avatar by then, you can also watch Avatar 5 on December 22, 2028.
