The former LOUD superstar Erick “aspas” Santos had the most amount of kills of any player in the Valorant Champions Tour this year, according to player data released by Riot Games today.
This year aspas managed to rack up 1402 kills this year, with his teammate Felipe “Less” de Loyola in second place with 1308, according to the data.
Other pieces of data were released, with Sentinels player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo noted as the fastest reaction time when it meant turning away from flashes. He spent just 0.56 seconds flashed by enemies, which was the lowest of all players in the VCT.
aspas has been considered one of the best players in the world and on Valorant betting sites for the past few years. His duelist plays have been recognized globally, with a stellar tournament record to back up his performances.
This year aspas had another lights-out performance with a runners-up finish at VCT LOCK//IN to kick off the year. LOUD continued its consistent form with a near-flawless run during the regular VCT Americas season.
The Brazilian team was able to secure qualification for VCT Masters Tokyo through the Americas league but failed to perform to the standard fans expected. LOUD was knocked out of the event following two defeats to Evil Geniuses and EDward Gaming respectively.
But Aspas left the organization after a disappointing run at Champions, where LOUD lost to eventual victors Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket final.
Aspas would join the Latin American organization Leviatán to bolster the roster for the VCT Americas season next year. Also, Leviatán picked up former The Guard player Ian “tex” Botsch to complete the roster.
Both LOUD and Leviatán will compete in the VCT Americas season next year.
