Asmongold calls on Twitch to ban gambling streams for good

Outspoken streamer Asmongold has had a lot of beef with Twitch lately. The latest involves gambling.

Asmongold recently called out Twitch for allowing the hot tub meta to evolve on the platform. Now Asmongold is calling on Twitch to put a stop to gambling streams. Gambling has been a hot topic for a while but Twitch has largely ignored the drama and hasn’t changed any of its Terms of Service surrounding the category. But now Asmongold wants gambling streams to be illegal.

“Twitch needs to ban gambling streams full stop,” Asmongold said. “The amount of bullshit and pitfalls this is going to create in the next 6 months will fuck the website in so many ways we don’t even realize yet.”

Asmongold then told his followers to check out the European Union’s gambling laws, noting that this will “not end well.”

Some of Asmongold’s fans called him out for his opinion. This included Twitch streamer Dimitri, who is known for gambling on his broadcasts. He noted that One True King members have had gambling sponsors. But Asmongold wasn’t deterred.

“I don’t hold doing gambling streams against any streamer because of how lucrative and successful they are It’s entirely Twitch’s responsibility to uphold integrity on their own site, not the streamers. Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” Asmongold responded.

xQc calls out other gambling Twitch streamers, including Ludwig, Mizkif

Popular streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel was one of the streamers at the top of the gambling category but recently decided that the content was making his Twitch channel “trashy.”

xQc received a lot of backlash for having a gambling stream. So in a recent stream, xQc decided to lash out at the viewers who kept attacking him. He stated that people were constantly “attacking his character for no fucking reason.” xQc seemed angry that the Twitch community judged him for gambling streams despite other big-name streamers doing the same with no backlash.

xQc named Ludwig, Mizkif, Erobb, and Yassuo for having gambling content that nobody seemed to be judging them for.

Twitch has not made any statements regarding gambling or taken any action against streamers who have featured gambling content on their channel.
