Apex Legends Season 11 is coming and it’s promising to be a fun one.
The Season 11 trailer for Apex Legends starts with Mirage, Bangalore, and Pathfinder using a motorboat to reach a tropical getaway. But Bangalore is a bit skeptical about the location despite Mirage’s insistence that everything’s fine. Sure enough, the vacation falls into chaos.
One of the biggest changes in Season 11 is Ash finally revealing herself as the new legend. The description on the official website reads: “Ash is done just overseeing the games: she’s ready to win them and prove she’s the Apex Predator.”
Ash is a known character to fans of the Titanfall series. She had a prominent role in Titanfall 2 but has been a long-awaited character in Apex Legends. She was first revealed in Season 5 in the Broken Ghost quest.
Ash has also overseen Apex Legends’ Arenas mode and serves as the announcer, but she’s sick of just watching. Now she wants in on the action.
Ash’s abilities are all about gathering intel. Marked for Death is a passive that reveals all Deathbox locations on the map. Arc Ball is her tactical that releases a slow-moving ball of charged electricity that tethers enemies that get too close. Phase Breach is her ultimate. She dashes and leaves a portal.
Ash isn’t the only update in Season 11. The C.A.R. SMG is coming to the game. Respawn described it as a “flexible weapon.” The SMG is perfect for legends that want to “make a stand.”
There is also a mysterious update on the way. The website states “A Storm is Brewing” but nothing else is really revealed. The description reads that “every corner of the Outlands is a dangerous place” even if it looks pretty.
“It’s good to remember that,” devs teased.
This is most likely a new battle royale map, something that leaks have also hinted at. The new map is most likely tropical in appearance to match the season’s Escape theme.
Season 11 also brings a new battle pass with new skins and XP boosts.
