Looking for a new gaming chair? The hunt might be taken offline in 2021.Â
ASUS has recently announced a partnership with IKEA in which the companies will offer a range of home gaming furniture designed by the IKEA Product Development Center in Shanghai. The “affordable gaming furniture accessories” will launch in 2021. China will see the products in February, while the United States will receive them in October.Â

The initial catalog will feature 30 products at the launch. The majority of the products will be gaming desks and gaming chairs.Â
“By teaming up with ROG, IKEA wants to combine its home furnishing knowledge with ROG’s expertise in creating exceptional gaming experience,” IKEA said on the partnership.
This isn’t the first esports furniture collection to hit the mainstream. Logitech paired up with Herman Miller to create a gaming chair. These pricy chairs were a blend of style and comfort.Â
IKEA has a bit of a different plan, however. The “cross-demographic” collection will blend in with a household’s existing decor more than most gaming products.Â
This also isn’t the first time that IKEA has incorporated video games in its marketing plans. The Swedish furniture maker recently created a catalog that was inspired by Animal Crossing. The 2021 catalog featured Animal Crossing characters and islanders interacting with the collection. IKEA has also consistently written articles about creating gaming rooms and offices.Â
