Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo is a variety Twitch streamer that has continued to grow in popularity throughout the past few years. He is well known for his charity streams and game show-inspired streams with other big-name content creators. But Mizkif started out with completely different content when he first joined Twitch.
When did Mizkif join Twitch?
Mizkif started streaming on Twitch in 2016. But Mizkif didn’t grow popular until 2018 when he started filming for another streamer, Ice Poseiden. Mizkif has since grown his own popularity despite a few controversies experienced throughout his career.
In May 2019, Mizkif received a seven-day ban from Twitch when he harassed a female streamer at PAX East with fellow streamer Esfand. While streaming during the event, Mizkif was having a conversation with cosplayer Jenna Lynn Meowri when he turned to the camera and said “she just sucked my d—.” Meowri reached out to Mizkif and Esfand later and stated that the joke had made her uncomfortable, leading Mizkif to apologize.
“I was completely out of line and for the love of god please do not take it out on anyone. It was my fault,” Mizkif said.
Later in 2019, Mizkif said that he had been admitted into a psychiatric hospital for a panic attack. Fans appreciated his positive outlook on the upsetting situation.

Perhaps the most controversial moment for Mizkif came in March 2020. Mizkif made over $5,600 during a stream where he was sleeping. He called the strange stream “a nice break” from his normal routine of “playing games all day.”
Sleeping on stream is against Twitch’s Terms of Service. Being “away” from the stream for more than 30 minutes breaks the platform’s rules. This led to some controversy around the stream and its financial success for Mizkif.

Despite the controversy, the game show stream resulted in a new viewership record. Mizkif’s June 14, 2021 episode reached 192,000 concurrent viewers plus 20,000 additional viewers from the participants’ own streams.
