All we know about Valorant release on Xbox or PlayStation
Riot’s shooter was an instant hit among PC users, and now console players are wondering if Valorant would be available on Xbox and PlayStation.
Valorant was released in 2020 as the biggest FPS game of the year. It quickly became the go-to shooter for players who had given up on other popular titles. In 2023, Valorant is competing with FPS giants, but players want more.
Currently, Valorant is only available on PC, and more players want access to Riot’s hit FPS.
Is Valorant coming to Xbox or Playstation?
Valorant is only available on PC, but teasers suggest it may arrive on consoles in the near future.
Many FPS games are available on multiple platforms, and considering Riot’s interest in bringing Valorant to mobile, it won’t be entirely wild for it to arrive on consoles as well. Especially since there are many leaks and teasers that suggest it may be true after all.
In last year’s Xbox showcase, it was revealed the Xbox Game Pass would be partnering with Riot. So now, Valorant is available on Game Pass, but only for PC. Game Pass users can unlock all Valorant agents for free. But that’s not it. This news came with in-game files featuring two new icons for PlayStation and Xbox.
This leak is enough to bolster player hopes who want to take a shot at Valorant. Besides, Riot was already looking for someone to “help bring console game products to market” in 2022, fueling the rumors. So Valorant on console isn’t entirely out of the question, and players shouldn’t stop holding hope out just yet.
However, the release date is unknown. Riot would likely prioritize releasing Valorant Mobile since it has been in development for over two years. Considering the success of mobile games and the hype around esports, there’s likely a bigger audience for Valorant Mobile as of now.
