The latest Overwatch 2 hero Juno is a happy-go-lucky space ranger from Mars who doesn’t mind sharing her agility and abilities with her teammates.

Earlier teased by Blizzard as a highly mobile “space ranger” with quite a bit of vertical mobility, Juno has finally been revealed. The latest support hero has deep roots in the game’s lore, as players suspect she may be tied to Jiaya, a scientist and Mei’s former classmate who worked at Lucheng Interstellar. Juno’s suit features the same company’s logo, which could signify that she’s likely connected with cannon characters.

On July 18, Blizzard finally tore the curtain on Juno after a string of teasers, and players are in awe of the bubbly healer. Juno comes with her own personal weapon, healing powers, and a speed boost for all.

Juno abilities in Overwatch 2 explained

Overwatch 2 Juno

Blizzard has provided a peek into Juno’s abilities in a short trailer. Here’s all we know about her toolkit so far.

  • Mediblaster: a multipurpose submachine gun that works as a medic on teammates and blasts enemies into oblivion.
  • Glide Boost: A flight ability that propels her into the air briefly.
  • Pulsar Torpedoes: An upgraded version of Mediblaster that produces auto-aiming torpedoes that hit enemies and heal teammates.
  • Hyper Ring: Juno summons a transparent screen that provides a speed buff to teammates once they pass through it.
  • Orbital Ray: This is Juno’s ultimate, where she summons a beam of light from outer space, which blasts onto the map. This ray likely debuffs enemies and enhances the abilities of Juno’s teammates.

Juno release date in Overwatch 2

Juno will be released in Season 12 of Overwatch on August 20. But players can check out her kit in advance from Friday, July 19, to Sunday, July 22.

Juno’s trial period will allow the developer to gauge her toolkit in the playing field and roll out fixes as needed. During the coming weekend, players can test her in all Overwatch 2 game modes, including No Limits. However, she won’t be available as a playable character in competitive. For that, players will have to wait for Season 12.
