The gameplay for the fourth Dragon Age game was revealed following the release of the game’s first trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. Here’s what we know about Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard picks up after the events of the Inquisition, but with a new protagonist. Rook is now gathering his own allies to go up against Solas, who’s a familiar name for Dragon Age fans. The elven mage is the main antagonist, but story details are still shrouded in mystery. BioWare, however, has revealed all Veilguard companions and a release window for the game.
Veilguard is announced for fall 2024, with no exact date. However, players can expect the game to be released sometime in late November for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Veilguard, which was previously known as Dreadwolf, is currently available on Steam as a wishlist game. While players can’t pre-order it right now, they may add to their list to stay notified about the release date. Since Inquisition was released in November, it’s safe to assume that Veilguard may also get a similar release date.
For the first time ever, all companions in Veilguard will be available as romance options. This is due to the change in their sexual preference. BioWare has announced that all characters are pansexual. This means they don’t discriminate based on the gender of your player model.
Here are all the companions you can romance in Veilguard:
Another key change is that intimate relationships in Veilguard will be much more realistic. According to the developer, some characters are more “spicier,” while others are sensual. This means, romantic experiences for each player will vary based on the companion they pick in Veilguard.
All of the above-mentioned characters will be able to romance Rook, who’s the main protagonist and can be customized from the ground up. Players will be able to choose from six factions for Rook, including the Antivan Crows, Grey Wardens, and Shadow Dragons.
