The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is coming March 2023 but fans of the tabletop RPG are already excited about the movie thanks to a trailer reveal at San Diego Comic-Con that boasts a load of creatures and monsters from the game.

While the movie looks like it has great action and an impressive cast, the Dungeons & Dragons creatures in the trailer stole the show. Many were shown off in a short time so it’s worth listing which ones popped up.

All creatures in the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie

Every creature and monster in Dungeons and Dragons is found in the Monster Manual and the Honor Among Thieves movie draws heavily on this. Every creature has its own strengths, abilities, and lore, making them an exciting part of any campaign. Here are the creatures that are confirmed to be in Honor Among Thieves so far.

Black Dragon

This creature can be seen soaring through the skies in Honor Among Thieves’ first trailer. It’s a chaotic evil chromatic dragon that’s known for its intelligence. Usually found in the ruins of cities, Black Dragons are known for seeking destruction.

Mimic

A mimic is a popular D&D creature that takes the form of inanimate objects. When someone approaches the seemingly harmless item, the Mimic will attack. The most common objects to watch out for are treasure chests and books.

Red Dragon

Red dragons are known for their love of treasure and are always attempting to collect a big pile of gold. Of course, this greedy dragon is evil and dangerous.

Displacer Beast

This creature from D&D isn’t as identifiable for those who don’t play the game, but the Displacer Beast played a big part in the trailer. This beast looks like a blend of different animals, usually looking like a big cat with tentacles. These are blood-thirsty creatures that don’t need a reason to kill.

Stone Golem

Stone Golems are powerful and determined. Generally, golems will follow their creator’s orders no matter the cost, relentlessly chasing down the target or getting killed in the process. Stone Golems are even trickier to deal with, however, because they are harder to fight due to their stone exterior.

Giant Wolf Spider

As the name suggests a Giant Wolf Spider is a Wolf Spider, but bigger. They are a common creature to come across in most campaigns. They can climb on most surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without making an ability check. They also have an ability that lets them know the exact location of other creatures in contact with their web.

Gelatinous Cube

This is an interesting creature found in the Monster Manual. They are basically a giant glob that consumes anything that’s inside of it, slowly dissolving it. You’ll often find weapons, bones, and other relics inside that remain from past victims. The key is figuring out how to retrieve them without getting sucked in yourself.
