All Splitgate 2 factions and abilities explained
Splitgate 2 factions have been revealed, and here’s all you need to know about them.
Splitgate fans got a treat this week as the Splitgate 2 gameplay reveal was uploaded on August 8. In the video, fans got to see not only a peek of what playing the game would be like but also some more details about its lore.
Ever since 1047 Games confirmed that Splitgate 2 would not be a hero-shooter game, fans have been hungry for more information, and now, we have it.
What are Splitgate 2 factions?
The Splitgate 2 factions are Aeros, Sabrask, and Meridian, as revealed in the gameplay video, which also broke down their skills.
Aeros:
Described as the fast, agile, and portal masters, this faction allows players to reload weapons faster and sprint around enemies. As one player, Itzjimmy, explained in the trailer, Aeros can sprint toward an enemy, shoot, return to their portal, and reload in record time. It’s recommended for more technically skilled players who can take advantage of this agility without getting overwhelmed.
Meridian:
Described as healers and spotters, Meridian was described by one participant in the gameplay as being more suited to support players. This is because Meridian players are given abilities that can be used to help others stay alive within the game. Meridian players can also see enemies behind walls, helping to either kill them or alert others. Then there is the time done that Meridian players can activate which helps them reload and shoot faster, whilst having the opposite effect on enemies that step into it.
Sabrask:
Described as defenders and fraggers, they have fewer portal abilities than the others but have a lot in terms of firepower. In the gameplay video, we see one Sabrask player launch grenades at enemies. Players also enjoy shields, which protect them from enemy fire while allowing them to shoot at others.
From what we see, there is something to cater to everyone’s tastes, and fans seem even more excited about the upcoming release.
