Michael “shroud” Grzesiek is bigger as a streamer than he ever was as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro player, and his PC build and peripherals are probably better than what most pro players have at home today.

After shroud’s time in professional CSGO with Cloud9, he returned to where the team noticed his talent in the first place. Back on Twitch after a short stint at Mixer, shroud’s streaming PC setup is enough to make anyone jealous. He’s decked out in custom gear from one side of his desk to the other. Most of that is thanks to Logitech and its sponsorship of shroud, but the FPS prodigy has actually used the company’s products for years. Now, he’s got a mouse with his name on it.

What type mouse does shroud use?

shroud is currently using his own branded mouse, the Logitech Pro Wireless Gaming mouse, while he games. Wireless tech has come a long way. Gaming’s top professionals aren’t worried about input lag anymore. The fact that shroud is using one should be proof enough for most that today’s mice and keyboards are almost as smart as a cell phone. He’s used other mice from Logitech throughout his streaming career, including the smaller Logitech G Pro X Superlight. But what else is on shroud’s desk?

shroud’s gone with Logitech there, too. The streamer used his wireless mouse alongside a Logitech Pro X keyboard when he went on a marathon, 20-hour Cyberpunk 2077 livestream when the game released on December 10. For fans who really want to know shroud’s setup down to the smallest detail, the streamer’s Pro X is outfitted with GX Red switches. They’re linear, which means that they don’t have the loud clicking normally associated with with gaming keyboards. The linear switch also means that each key press takes the same amount of pressure to press. It makes pressing each key a predictable experience, and it’s likely that shroud relies on the consistancy when he starts to frag.

What kind of monitor does shroud use when he streams?

For streamers and pros, a 240hz refresh rate monitor is a must-have, and there are statistics that prove it. shroud games and streams using the BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 monitor. Its checks all the boxes with 240hz ready to go through a DisplayPort connection. shroud has stayed true to his CSGO roots, preferring smaller 24.5-inch monitor to some of Zowie’s larger monitors. With a larger display, most players may find it hard to focus on the entire screen at once. CSGO is famous for its players using black bars an odd resolutions, but shroud has adopted both ideas. He has a smaller screen, but plays at a native 1920×1080 resolution.

Outside of shroud’s mouse and keyboard, shroud’s beastly PC is outfitted with an ASUS motherboard, AMD’s landmark Ryzen 9 5950X, next to one of NVIDIA’s brand new RTX 3090 graphics cards. The pro streamer’s setup would set you back close to $3,000 when all is said and done.

shroud’s time in pro CSGO may not have come with a ton of trophies for Cloud9, but the streamer is having the time of his life after Microsoft reportedly paid the streamer millions when the company closed Mixer. Hopefully Rockstar Games was listening when shroud sounded off on GTA Online and called for the developer to release the next edition of the franchise. With his setup, he might actually be able to run it at 240 frames per second.

From the looks of it, at least some of his Mixer buyout has gone straight into the streamer’s most important pieces of equipment.
