Alan Walker has once again collaborated with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, this time to release an exclusive single for PUBG Mobile, “Live Fast”. The single also features A$AP Rocky.

Internationally popular Norweigan DJ Alan Walker and American rapper Rakim Mayers, known by his alias A$AP Rocky, have produced a new theme song for PUBG Mobile. The song was debuted with the start of PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 Spring Split Global Finals in Berlin on July 26, where Walker performed live.

He has also participated in a show match with nine other influencers and celebrities picked by the community, including the NBA’s reigning most valuable player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Players that logged in and participated in the free Alan Walker in-game event earlier this month had the opportunity to hear the song ahead of the global audience. Additionally, completing challenges of this event gives the players access to exclusive rewards.

These players have been awarded a new Blue Tint M16A4 weapon skin for free, while completing the challenges rewards a racer suit set, silver fragments, coins, and free crate coupons. The event began July 21 and will end in August.

This is not the first time Walker has worked with Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation. To celebrate PUBG Mobile’s first anniversary on March 21 of this year, he performed his single “On My Way” for the first time at the game’s anniversary party in New York.

The song played in the game’s lobby and on the in-game radio while players drove cars. Players could also obtain a mask and a hoodie resembling Walker’s style.

Walker has said that his collaboration with PUBG was meant to create something unique and to allow players to “walk in his shoes” while sporting his iconic wearables. On the other hand, Walker feels that the game allows him to be his own hero behind a different helmet.

Collaborating with influencers and musical talents is a part of publisher Tencent’s ambitious plan to popularize mobile game tournaments and build a more stable ecosystem for mobile esports, and its efforts are already producing results.
