Washington Justice DPS specialist Gihyeon “ADO” Chon finally broke his 0-37 losing streak.

The expansion Justice defeated Florida Mayhem in their final match of the Overwatch League’s first stage, leaving the squad with a 1-6 record. Washington is now tied with Florida Mayhem in the standings. The Los Angeles Valiant are right behind them in last place, having failed to get a single win so far.

While it did take five maps for the Justice to finally grind out the win, it was a performance that excited the crowd and raised the teams’ spirits. It was especially emotional for ADO, who proved himself on Brigitte throughout the night.

“This is my first personal win after losing 37 times. I’m really happy with that,” ADO said.

ADO thanked his teammates for helping him finally get a win. If that wasn’t wholesome enough for Twitch viewers, the 19-year-old then thanked his parents for giving him the ability to play Overwatch at a high level.

While the Washington Justice only had six losses behind them, ADO had 37. In the OWL’s inaugural year, ADO was part of the original Shanghai Dragons roster, a team that infamously went winless through the entire 2018 season.

Despite the Dragons’ record, ADO established a reputation as one of the best flex DPS players in the league.

Fans seemed happy for ADO when the Dragons released him after Season 1, hoping his skill would finally shine on a more successful team. While that has yet to come to fruition, this win just might be the beginning of a better turn for ADO and his Washington Justice teammates.
