That’s because it doesn’t just cost Broken Fang’s star currency to purchase, it also asks players to throw down another $2.49 for a key to open the case. In return, one of the cases only costs two stars, while the Havoc, Control, and Ancient collection skins cost four stars apiece.

Should I buy the Broken Fang Case with stars or on the market?

Right now, the Broken Fang case is hovering around $1.00 on the Steam Marketplace, making it two cents less expensive than using two stars bought inside the CSGO battle pass.
