Blizzard have released a trailer for the new archives event detailing the event dates, its name, and the heroes to be playable.

The tweet was published 24 hours after the team released a teaser about a possible new map located in Havana.

As with previous archives events, the short video opens with the phrase “Decrypting,” shortly before showing the archives logo. This has been a staple since the event was rebranded as one that allows players to take part in past Overwatch missions.

This year the decrypted file is a voice recording from a female Overwatch member discussing mission details with Commander Morrison, also known as Soldier: 76. She suggests that instead of chasing after Doomfist, who is the known leader of the enemy forces, they should “follow the money” to find the incriminating evidence they need.

This could tie in with the recent tease of a newspaper clipping talking about purchases of public property by a mysterious company in Havana.

After the mission brief, the recording continues by suggesting which heroes will be featured in the upcoming mission. Winston, Genji, Tracer, and Mercy are the names given, suggesting that they will be the four playable heroes during the upcoming story-driven PvE mode.

The title of the event is also revealed at the end of the video. Overwatch: Storm Rising will begin on April 16 and remain playable until May 6.

It is unclear if the Uprising and Retribution story modes will also be available this year, though it seems likely as Uprising was featured during the Retribution event in 2018.
