The new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update has ruffled the player base that was counting on meaningful content or an anti-cheat fix.

It’s no secret that CSGO has a cheater problem that’s getting worst each day. Despite a new purchasable Prime status, players don’t see much improvement in ranked queues. Continuous complaints from professional players and the casual base haven’t budged the developer that has released yet another update that doesn’t acknowledge the cheating problem.

Since the day of the game’s release, Valve has delivered stellar content. While a particular player base adores the new items and collectables, the developer’s delivery timing hasn’t always been ideal. The recent update has become the butt of the joke after Valve rolled out music kits amid constant complaints of a flawed anti-cheat system and bugged matchmaking servers.

In a new blog post, Valve unveiled six new Tacticians Music Kit boxes that are now being mocked as “unneeded and unnecessary.” While casual players looking to spend some cash appreciate the latest update, loyal players like Anomaly and Tarik “tarik” Celik aren’t entirely happy with this addition.

Cheaters continue to be a huge problem in CSGO

Valve’s most recent effort to curb cheaters significantly harmed the player count and popularity. The paywall update resulted in a major decline in the player base, which eliminated a plethora of fake Prime status accounts, bot accounts, and hackers who won’t pay cash to ruin ranked games. The June patch was well-received but players were expecting more efforts from Valve to revive the declining shooter.

Many CSGO professional players and personalities are now criticizing the developer for delivering irrelevant content that doesn’t help the game’s current frail state. Older players have pointed out many long-standing bugs in the game, but the developer seems to have turned a blind eye.

It’s not all dark, no stars. Valve recently released “fair play guidelines” to keep cheaters at bay but it hasn’t been working so well. However, while most players are bashing Valve for neglecting CSGO, some players are hopeful that a significant fix for anti-cheat is still underway.
