These are the abilities for upcoming LoL champion Akshan

After weeks of speculation, Riot Games has finally announced the newest champion for League of Legends.

Akshan will be a marksman designed for the mid lane and is a part of the Sentinels of Light who is currently fighting to defeat the Black Mist in the world of Runeterra. Akshan is the next piece in the big lore puzzle of Viego, which was started in January when the Ruined King entered Summoner’s Rift. As promised by Riot back then, the next three champions would be connected to Viego in the lore. The first one was Gwen, and she is being followed up by Akshan, the Rogue Sentinel.

It has been known for a while that Akshan would be the first marksman designed for the mid lane and this confirms those rumors. Akshan will be an attack-damage-based ranged champion with mobility, burst, and even camouflage to make him a pain to shot down.

Akshan’s abilities

  • Dirty Fighting (Passive)

Every three hits from Akshan’s attacks and damaging abilities will deal a burst of physical damage to the target. If the target hit is a champion, Akshan will also gain a shield.

After landing the attack, Akshan fires a second attack that will deal reduced physical damage to the target. This second attack can be canceled, which will give Akshan a burst of movement speed.

  • Avengerang (Q)

Akshan’s main damage ability is Avengerang, in which he throws a boomerang that deals physical damage and reveals enemies that are hit. Avenrerang will extend its range each time it hits an enemy.

Enemies can be hit one time when the boomerang goes out and once again when it returns.

  • Going Rogue (W)

Passive:

Going Rogue has a passive ability that marks an enemy champion as a Scoundrel when they kill one of Akshan’s allied champions. When Akshan gets a takedown on an enemy marked as a Scoundrel, he gains bonus gold while all allies killed by the Scoundrel are resurrected in the base. Scoundrel status is then removed from all other enemies.

For its active effect, Akshan becomes camouflaged for a short duration, or indefinitely when near terrain. During this time, Akshan can see trails leading towards Scoundrels and gain movement speed and mana regeneration when moving towards them.

  • Heroic Swing (E)

Akshan fires his hook shot that locks onto the first terrain hit. While locked to terrain, Akshan can recast to swing around the terrain in the cast direction while firing physical-damage bullets at the nearest enemy. While swinging, Akshan can recast the ability to jump off and fire a final shot. Heroic Swing’s cooldown resets when Akshan earns a takedown on an enemy champion.

  • Comeuppance (R)

Akshan locks onto an enemy champion and begins channeling power into his gun. At the end of the channeling or after recasting, Akshan unleashes all stored bullets. Each bullet will deal physical damage based on the missing health to the first minion, champion, or structure hit.

Akshan can move normally and cast Heroic Swing (E) while channeling and firing Comeuppance.

When will Akshan release in League of Legends?

Akshan the Rogue Sentinel is expected to be released in patch 11.15, which is set to hit the live servers on Wednesday, July 21. Players will be able to try out Akshan on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) shortly.
