World of Warcraft streamer Asmongold was recently called an asshole by a Blizzard developer but the controversial content creator doesn’t really care.

Asmongold may be a popular World of Warcraft streamer but he often seems frustrated with the game. He spends a lot of time on stream ranting about the game, even calling developers “incompetent.” Asmongold recently took a break from his most well-known game to try out other MMORPGs.

Asmongold attempted to play New World, which will be officially released by Amazon Games in August. He was immediately irked by the game, voicing frustration with their in-game purchases. Then Asmongold tried Final Fantasy XIV. This went a bit differently, with Asmongold saying it was “one of the most incredible streams he’s ever had.”

But not everyone wanted Asmongold to come back to Final Fantasy XIV. A small streamer said that Asmongold’s “hatred and rudeness” is not welcome in the game’s community. They urged other players to “run” Asmongold out of the game to ensure his fanboys didn’t “have room” in the Final Fantasy XIV scene.

The situation got even crazier when World of Warcraft developer Adam Holisky responded to the streamer’s request.

“That guy is an asshole,” Holisky replied.

Even though the developer ended up deleting his controversial tweet, fans continued to send screenshots to Asmongold. He finally decided to respond to the developer.

Asmongold responds to World of Warcraft developer calling him an “asshole”

As screenshots kept pouring in, Asmongold decided to make it clear to his fans that he doesn’t care about the Blizzard employee “talking shit” about him.

“I don’t care,” Asmongold tweeted. “I talk shit about them all the time. I’m a big boy. I can handle it.”

Asmongold also added that he doesn’t need his fans to harass Holisky to “defend [his] honor.”

Holisky’s Twitter account is currently private, with his tweets protected. It’s unclear if this was done to stop Asmongold’s horde from harassing him following his comment but it wouldn’t be the first time a large streamer’s fanbase attacked someone else to “defend” their favorite content creator.

Asmongold is clearly not offended by the Blizzard developer’s opinion, most likely expecting it after years of ranting about World of Warcraft. Despite the frustration, Asmongold is a die-hard World of Warcraft player who will continue streaming the game no matter his complaints.
