A $1.5 million Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is coming on June 22.

Gamers Without Borders is a virtual festival that features a newly unveiled CSGO tournament with a $1.5 million prize pool. The hefty sum will be donated to charitable organizations focused on distributing medical aid to underdeveloped countries and at-risk communities. With such an important cause on the line, the competition is about to be fierce.

Some of the best CSGO teams in the world are coming together to support Gamers Without Borders. This includes BIG, Dignitas, FaZe Clan, FURIA, MIBR, mousesports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and ENCE. These top CSGO teams will be split into two groups of four teams each, competing in best-of-three rounds. The top two squads from each group will proceed to the semifinals. There will also be a highly competitive and intense grand finals.

From June 22 to June 25, the teams will compete in the group stage. The playoffs will take place soon after. The winner of the CSGO tourney will earn $600,000 to distribute to charities. The runners-up will get $300,000. The semifinalists will receive $150,000 each.

While the top pro teams duking it out will be the big draw of the event, Gamers Without Borders also has some show segments and exhibition matches to shake up the broadcast. Supporting Gamers Without Borders is ESL, who will host the CSGO tournament, as well as the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports.

The response from the CSGO community has been positive so far. The large prize pool and impressive teams, as well as the feel-good charity aspect, have made the Elite Tournament a tournament to watch.
