Cloud9 reveals the organization's new Apex Legends roster

Cloud9 has officially joined the Apex Legends scene.

The North American esports organization announced its new four-man Apex Legends squad, taking pro players from various other esports titles. Jamison “PVPX” Moore is the only player signed to Cloud9 specifically for Apex Legends. Greg “Grego” McAllen is a former Cloud9 Overwath player who joined PVPX soon after.

Joseph “Frexs” Sanchez and Justin “Chappie” Andrews were in the PlayerUnknown's Battleground competitive scene under Cloud9 before swapping to Apex Legends. They took part in th Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge, the game’s first online tournament. Their team secured fifth place.

Cloud9 announced the four new Apex players on Twitter, along with an accompanying highlight video that showcased the players’ pinpoint accuracy and quick reflexes.

The video starts out with a clip of Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi getting some impressive kills during a recent Apex Legends stream. After being announced as champion, Sneaky comically pops out of Wraith’s Dimensional Rift and says, “If you think I’m good, you should see these guys.”

After a montage of squad eliminations and head shots, Sneaky pops out of another Dimensional Rift to give the new roster a round of applause before presumably returning to the void.

Since its release, Apex Legends has not only become one of the most popular competitive games out there, it has taken the competitive gaming scene by storm. Esports organizations across the globe have been scrambling to sign top players in anticipation of Apex Legends tournaments, including recent announcements from TSM and 100 Thieves. Team Liquid also made headlines when it moved its entire Call of Duty Blackout roster over to Apex Legends.
