After months of hard-charged competitions, the moment of truth is finally around the corner. Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 Masters is just four days away and we have all the details in one place.

This is a significant event for many reasons. Not only it is the first event LAN event for Valorant ever, but this platform will pit the best teams of the world from all regions directly against each other for the first time. VCT Masters 2 is not an event you want to miss, and we have garnered all the information you need to enjoy the games thoroughly.

VCT Masters 2 Format

More than 2,000 teams locked horns to qualify for the biggest LAN event in the history of Valorant, Masters Iceland. The regional Challengers events ran for two months across all regions, and only the best could survive the cut-throat competition. From thousands of the teams, only 10 managed to filter themselves out for the big LAN event.

The event will use a double-elimination bracket, with each match being best-of-three and the Grands Finals being best-of-five.

To create the ten-team bracket, the top-seeded teams from the two regions with the largest player base, North America and Europe, were seeded into the second round. The winner of Fnatic vs KRU and Version1 vs Crazy Raccoon will compete against Sentinels and Team Liquid.

The remaining teams were randomly placed with the requirement that teams from the same region could not be put on the same side of the bracket to avoid matching against each other in the initial rounds.

Ten teams qualified for VCT Masters 2 Reykjavik Iceland

Brazil

  • Team Vikings
  • Sharks Esports

Vikings made it to Masters two as one of the most dominant forces in Brazil. The team’s region has birthed some insane aimers in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the story isn’t much different in Valorant. The team has remained chiefly successful in their VCT run by dropping only one map during Challengers 2 against Gamelanders. Meanwhile, Shark Esports clawed their way back up from the lower bracket.

EMEA

  • Team Liquid
  • Fnatic

Competition in EMEA was rather harsh but Team Liquid burst through the charts as one of the best teams in the region. The squad has experienced aimers like Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen on its side, making Team Liquid a threat for the likes of Fnatic. The Jake “Boaster” Howlett-led roster was the only team that managed to make Team Liquid sweat after beating FunPlus Pheonix and Guild.

North America

  • Sentinels
  • Version1

Sentinels needs no introduction in the North American region. Despite a last-minute roster change due to Jay “Sinatraa” Won’s suspension, Sentinels remained unruffled and successful in Masters One with Tyson “TenZ” Ngo on its roster. However, Version1 is known for its upset potential against top-tier teams like FaZe Clan, so anything can happen at Masters 2.

Japan

  • Crazy Racoon

A mix of players from different video games, Crazy Raccoons stole the spotlight in their region as the underdogs. The team dismantled the region-favorite Absolute Jupiter in the upper finals and the grand finals of the Challengers and paved the way into Masters 2.

Korea

  • Nuturn Gaming

Nuturn Gaming’s entry into Masters 2 is very similar to Crazy Raccoons. The Kang “solo” Keun-chul-ledroster knocked out their regions’ dominating team Vision Strikers and booked a slot for the LAN event.

LATAM

  • KRU esports

KRU esports is certainly one of the best newer teams in the region. The squad has managed to win most of its games across different tournaments with a few losses, despite being a relatively new name in Valorant.

SEA

  • X10 Esports

The southeast Asian team made their way into VCT Masters two on the back of top gun Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong, who’s already made highlights with his insane Jett plays. It remains to be seen how the Jett racks up against the best in the world at Masters 2.
