Despite not making it to the semifinals at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational, Cloud9 top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami is leading in kills among all top laners at the tournament.

To everyone’s surprise, Fudge has been one of the absolute best performers for Cloud9 throughout the tournament. Some would even argue that Fudge has been the best player representing North America during MSI 2021, which makes the upcoming split even more promising for the young Australian. After the rumble stage has concluded, Fudge is the top laner with the most kills sitting at 59.

Coming in at a shared second place are DWG KIA top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha and RNG’s Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao with 55 kills each. While these players will likely surpass Fudge with the semifinals coming up, the young top laner has impressed the whole world by showing a very high individual level.

As a rookie at his first international event, the large amount of kills is impressive on its own. Fudge came into the tournament without much pressure on his shoulders, but that might change in the upcoming split after his performances at MSI. Fudge has showcased a wide champion pool with dominant games played on Irelia, Sion, Jayce, and especially Lee Sin.

Besides the kills, Fudge has also achieved a solid KDA and lane statistics throughout the tournament. In these stats, he isn’t at the top of the charts to compete with the likes of Khan and Xiaohu, but he might get there with more experience.

Fudge has been dominating on Lee Sin at MSI 2021

Not only will Fudge return to North America with a lot of kills and confidence in the bag, but he will also potentially end up having the biggest highlight of the tournament. Even though there have been a lot of great plays already, Fudge’s Lee-Sin play against RNG was something special.

In a close game against the reigning LPL champions, Fudge made an amazing play onto RNG bot laner Chen “GALA” Wei. By kicking GALA into the rest of Cloud9, the team got an important kill and won the fight purely based on Fudge’s mechanics. The fact that the play was made onto GALA made it even more impressive, as GALA has been one of the best players at the tournament.

Fudge and the rest of Cloud9 will be heading home shortly to prepare for the 2021 LCS Summer Split that kicks off on June 4.
