Guild Esports will launch academy in 2021

Esports has become quite a sensation in the past years, with dozens of online games that have official teams and tournaments. Many people and companies invest in esports as the revenue continues to skyrocket. 

Manchester United’s manager is the new co-owner of an agency that represents pro gamers. They are taking on the following games:

Guild will not only attract global talent but also provide mentorship and professional training as well. The training system includes nutrition guidance, psychological support, physical exercises, and coaching in specific fields.

The Guild Academy is set to launch this quarter and they have inspiring business models and tactics, which is unusual compared to other esports organizations around the world. The Guild Academy also plans to transfer or sell some of their players, which reminds us of regular sports, like football, where players are sold and transferred two times each season.

Guild plans to focus not only on their professional athletes but on their online presence and image. The Academy won’t only be used as a talent pool, but also as a social experience and a community for all gamers.

Guild’s director of esports is Grant Rousseau and they also hired some exciting talent recently, like Nikita “Nihachu” Sembowski as a content creator, which has helped to increase the viewership of the Guild network to more than ten million. She is a Twitch streamer who has a total of 5.5 million subscribers across multiple platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Twitter.
