Forsen beats xQc in Minecraft speedrunning, taunts on Twitter

In mid-March, Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel declared that he had the new Minecraft speedrunning record in an ongoing battle against Sebastian “Forsen” Fors. But now it seems Forsen has finally taken back his crown just a few weeks later. 

xQc shared the exciting clip of himself taking the new record. As everyone chanted “I was here” in the chat, xQc continued to scream out as the tension mounted. He finally took the Minecraft speedrunning record from his rival. Unfortunately, his joy wouldn’t last long. 

On April 2, Forsen replied to xQc’s old tweet to announce that he had taken the crown back just a few weeks later. Forsen had shaved off another seven seconds in the ongoing speedrunning duel. 

“Get with the fucking times,” Forsen tweeted, mocking xQc. 

In response to the news, some fans noted that seven seconds didn’t seem like a lot. Some even said it was nothing to brag about. But others in the speedrunning community pointed out that in this competition, even one second can be a lot. 

While Forsen managed to take an impressive win over xQc, it should also be noted that the two streamers are nowhere near the actual world record Minecraft speedrun. One recent record was 15 minutes, well under xQc and Forsen’s speedruns. But both streamers are getting closer and closer to this impressive achievement. For now, both streamers are just facing off against each other for the title exclusively. 

Forsen and xQc continue Minecraft speedrun rivalry

Forsen and xQc are both variety streamers who often play competitive games. But sometimes they take a break to play more creative and fun titles. One of the games both decided to try out when their own favorites got stale was Minecraft. But Forsen and xQc quickly turned Minecraft competitive with their speedrunning antics. 

Forsen had the record for fastest Minecraft 1.16 speedrun out of the two personalities back in February. Back then, it was just under 27 minutes. The exact same day, xQc came back with a time of 25 minutes and 37 seconds. From there, the two continued to whittle down their speedrunning times as they faced off against each other. 

What made the back-and-forth speedrun battle even more entertaining was the two trash-talking each other. The two streamers often take shots at each other when they announce a new record. This has made the rivalry a favorite to follow within the streaming community. 

Now that Forsen has declared himself the current record-holder, it will only be a matter of time before xQc fights for the crown back. And it might only be a few days before he takes it.
