MICHU reportedly set to replace ISSAA on OG CSGO roster

According to reports, Michal “MICHU” Muller is set to join OG as the new fifth member of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

The Polish rifler would be filling the gap left by Issa “ISSAA” Murad, who recently left the squad. OG’s CSGO lineup has experienced a tumultuous start to the year, with both ISSAA and Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt moving to the bench in recent weeks. OG announced Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen as its first signing earlier this week and now looks set to complete its lineup with the addition of MICHU, though the organization has not confirmed this as of yet.

The roster moves follow a series of disappointing results for OG. The squad didn’t make it out of their group at Blast Premier Spring and didn’t manage to win a single map at IEM Katowice 2021.

MICHU has been a free agent since leaving Team Envy last month. He represented the North American organization for over a year but didn’t achieve any notable results. In 2020, the team only competed in a handful of events before being dropped by Envy at the end of the year. MICHU previously played on the Polish lineups of Virtus.pro and Team Kinguin. 

According to the report by Eweszlo Esports, MICHU has been on OG’s shortlist for a while. When the organization entered CSGO at the end of 2019, the Polish rifler was considered as a possible signee. More recently, he was reportedly in talks with MAD Lions, as the organization wanted to rebuild their lineup around international players. 

Who is on OG’s CSGO roster?

With the addition of MICHU, OG would have the following lineup:

• Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen
• Valdemar “valde” Bjorn Vangsa
• Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen
• Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski
• Michal “MICHU” Muller

NBK- and ISSAA remain on the organization’s bench awaiting a transfer. If the move happens, MICHU could be making his debut for OG soon. The team is set to compete in the Blast Premier Spring Showdown, which is set to start on April 13.
