Viper is one of the few Valorant controllers that can singlehandedly open a bomb site. A newly discovered setup on Split’s A site shows how powerful she can be in a solo queue setting.

Valorant agent Viper packs plenty of poisonous gas that can choke out an entire team when used correctly. Her chemical launchers, smokes, and poison screen are enough to keep enemies at bay or push them out of their own territory. On a map like Split, which is designed to favor defenders, picking Viper can help make working on offense easier.

Split may be a small map, but zip lines and hiding spots add some extra depth. The complex design jams up the attackers, swinging the game in favor of the defensive side. As attackers, you need some genius tricks to break even on the side.

This Viper setup can ensure an entry inside bomb point A, providing you with a fair chance to pick duels from site post-plant. It requires Viper’s smokes, poison wall, and two Molotovs. For the first lineup, equip her screen and aim at the tile on the shoe store, as shown in the image. Fire off an E and move towards A lobby.

Stand at the edge of the block and align your crosshair with the tile on the floor. Aim up at the building and use your ability HUD as a guide, as shown in the image below.

Press the jump key and throw your Q. After these two steps, you should give your teammates a heads-up to gear up for a hard push. While they prepare their flashes and weapons, line up your final utility to burn out enemies hiding in tight corners.

Step down from the top block and align your E ability hud with the fourth line on the building. Throw your molotov and instantly load up a second one. Align the X ability key with the corner of the lattice pattern and launch the device. Both of these molotovs will consume defenders holding the right side rafters and corner.

This is how the Split bomb point A setup should like:

As soon as your teammates start pushing, press the Q and E ability key to block out enemies at A tower and screens.

The poison screen will block the defenders’ view from A short and offer a safe detour for attackers. It’s a straightforward setup that enemies can only counter by pushing forward into the attacking team. Forcing the defenders into duels and making them give up an advantageous position is valuable unto itself. In high ELO games, defenders would likely respect the utility and play for the retake. Unfortunately for them, Viper’s poison will likely come off cooldown again one more time before the end of the round to make their lives more difficult.
