These are the best Counter-strike: Global Offensive free agent pros available as of March 2021.

The best free agent in-game leader: Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen

Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen

Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen is a storied Danish in-game leader and AWPer. In the past, he’s represented such organizations as Dignitas, North, and OpTic Gaming. He found the most success with North, winning DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 and several DreamHack Open tournaments.

MSL was benched by North in October 2020 and was released from his contract when North ceased operations.

While MSL has almost exclusively played on Danish rosters, he has expressed interest in joining an international lineup.

MSL has been somewhat underwhelming in the past year, but he still could add great value to a team. His versatility in AWPing and rifling and his proven track record of building up the talent around him make him a great signing for a team looking to build a young roster.

Other free agent options for in-game leaders:

Mikka “suNny” Kemppi

Kamen “bubble” Kostadinov

Richard “Xizt” Landstrom

The best free agent AWPer: Ozgur “woxic” Eker

Ozgur "woxic" Eker

The fact that Ozgur “woxic” Eker is a free agent is an odd case. Looking at his mechanical abilities, he is one of the best players in the world. He’s known for his incredible flick shots and aggressive peeks. But while there is no doubt about his skill, questions have to be raised about his behavior within a team. He was benched by both of his last two teams for problems out of the server.

While it’s not clear why both Cloud9 and mousesports decided to drop him, both teams have said the problem was not with his performance in game. If a team can figure out a way to make woxic work within a professional structure, he could be a great addition to a roster.

Other free agent options for AWPers:

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovacs

Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov

Otto “ottoNd” Sihvo

The best free agent rifler: Owen “oBo” Schlatter

Owen "oBo" Schlatter

Imagine being able to sign one of the biggest talents in North America for free. This is exactly the situation with Owen “oBo” Schlatter. The talented 17-year-old would be a great pickup for many teams.

Ever since oBo benched himself from Complexity in September of 2020, rumors about his next team have persisted. Despite these rumors, oBo still doesn’t have a new team. With Evil Geniuses benching Ethan “Ethan” Arnold, a spot on one of the best teams in North America has opened up. oBo is one of the obvious suspects to fill this gap.

Other free agent options for riflers:

Lukas “Lucky” Chastang

Fernando “fer” Alvarenga

Rokas “EspiranTo” Milasauskas
