In a match against Team Liquid, Team Vitality’s Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier put on an incredible show with his Desert Eagle.

The Group B upper bracket semifinals saw Vitality lock horns with Team Liquid. The Frenchmen entered in style, taking the first map win in overtime. However, Team Liquid came out strong on Vitality’s pick, Vertigo. A 10-5 score at halftime in Liquid’s favor saw Vitality in an awkward position.

That lead would ultimately prove to be insurmountable, but Misutaaa still made his presence felt in a big way.

Team Liquid had cracked the French bank badly, forcing them to settle on pistols. Misutaaa held A corner with his Deagle against a fully kitted Team Liquid, pushing in with five AK-47s. Jake “Stewie2K” Yip’s peaking attempt cost him his life, as misutaaa shut him down in one shot. The player jiggle peaked A site, looking for players coming in from ramp. Despite having to split his focus between two angles, misutaaa took down a white hot Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski. Keith “NAF” Markovic had already taken down misutaaa’s last companion, Cédric “RpK” Guipouy, leaving him to clutch the round on his own.

Misutaaa scouted the last two members from his initial post. He’d already shown his location and stood seconds away from a pre-fire or a molotov. In a risky corner, misutaaa stood like a rock between A site and the bomb carrier, eventually sending a deadly message to Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. Now in a one-on-one situation against NAF and his AK, misutaaa’s chances of clutching were slim. However, the player converted an impossible round into a win, silencing NAF with a single Deagle bullet.

The 18-year old clutched Vitality’s first win of the second half of Vertigo, breathing life into his demotivated squad and denying Team Liquid map point. The young star topped the scoreboard on the decider with 22 kills despite eventually losing 16-10. His performance remained sharp throughout the three maps as he finished the series with a 1.02 rating. Despite his incredible performance, the rest of the team.

After misutaaa’s clutch, the Dan “apEX” Madesclaire-led squad picked up four more rounds before losing the series to Team Liquid. Despite that, Vitality remains alive in IEM Katowice 2021. The team will next face Virtus.pro in an elimination match.
