How did Logan Paul become famous, and what's his net worth?
One of YouTube’s biggest stars is leaving Los Angeles to live in Puerto Rico. But why?
Logan Paul is the 24-year-old content creator is best known for his YouTube vlogging and consistent controversies. The Ohio native started gaining popularity on Vine, a social media platform where users posted six-second videos. His sketches got a lot of attention and wound up with millions of followers.
When Vine shut down, Paul decided to move to YouTube. His content of choice became daily vlogs. He currently has 22.8 million subscribers. Paul’s success on YouTube caught the attention of other media, including television companies. The camera-happy Paul brother appeared on “Law & Order: SVU” and later co-wrote and starred in his own movie, “Airplane Mode.” He also starred in a film called “The Thinning.”
Paul also created a boatload of content surrounding a fake feud with his brother, Jake. Both of them wrote diss tracks towards each other and then made music videos surrounding the imaginary drama. The brothers have been under fire for creating poorly received music and later attempting to enter the sport of boxing.
Despite his audience being mostly children, Paul isn’t a stranger to controversy. He was severely criticized for showing a dead body in Japan’s “Suicide Forest.” His apology only seemed to make things worse. He was then accused of animal abuse after tasing two dead rats and giving CPR to a fish.
In response, YouTube suspended Paul’s ad revenue due to a “pattern of behavior.” Since then, Paul has decided to turn a new leaf. He started a podcast, “Impaulsive,” and started filming Pokemon TCG unboxing videos. The latter has gotten him in hot water with the Pokemon TCG community, who feel he has
severely inflated the market
by making false claims about the price of cards he pulls.
What is Logan Paul’s net worth?
According to the Wealthy Gorilla, Paul is worth around $19 million. Paul told Forbes that he earned $14.5 million before taxes between 2017 and 2018. This made him the 10th highest-earning YouTuber, with his brother being even higher on the list.
A lot of this money comes from YouTube revenue, advertising sponsors, and merchandise sales. Both Paul brothers are quite well known for pushing their merch on their young audience. His merch is under the label Maverick Clothing.
What does Logan Paul call his fans?
Paul’s fandom goes by the name “Logang.” Sometimes he will call his fans “Logangsters.”
Why is Logan Paul moving to Puerto Rico?
Paul recently told his fans that he’s moving to Dorado, which he called “heaven on earth.” It’s 30 minutes west of San Juan. This location has become a popular hangout for wealthy Americans. This includes billionaire Elon Musk.
On his “Impaulsive” podcast, Paul explained that his reason for leaving Los Angeles is due to the state’s high taxes. He considered Texas or Florida first, but decided Puerto Rico was his next home. On Twitter, many Puerto Ricans have already told Paul that he isn’t welcome there.
