Pro players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive use all different types of settings and crosshairs, and while these may not make everyone else a better player if they mimic them, pro settings are a great way to try out something different in a player’s own CSGO setup.

There are a couple of ways users can get pro crosshairs into their own game. The first way to copy them over is through CSGO’s console. It’s an older method, but it gives more control over fine tuning each crosshair.

The second way is through CSGO’s settings, a newer feature that Valve introduced last summer. It offers many of the same features that the console does, but there are two main differences. In the settings it’s much easier to tweak a crosshair thanks to the viewbox showing changes to the crosshair in real time, though it comes at the cost of fewer options overall compared to using the console.

Finally, Valve also introduced crosshair codes to CSGO when it added the crosshair stylizer into the menu. This is the easiest and quickest way out of the three to import someone else’s crosshair. Simply copy and paste the code into the crosshair code section of the settings menu.

Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz is one of CSGO’s best AWPers, but the sniper rifle’s large crosshairs don’t translate well to rifling. That is why Astralis’ sniper uses a crosshair size of 2 combined with a skinny border. The contrasting yellow and black allow him to find it even on light backgrounds.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Vitality

ZywOo uses rifles even less often than dev1ce does, but Vitality’s AWPer has a crosshair that’s much more suited to pistols than it does rifles. Professional riflers often use outlines, allowing them to track their crosshair across broad flicks. But ZywOo’s plain, green crosshair allows him to make out what’s behind it more easily than if it had an outline. When on a pistol eco, the first shot matters that much more, and that make’s ZywOo’s deisgn a smart choice.

Jonathon “EliGE” Jablonowski, Team Liquid

EliGE has some of the most precise aim in CSGO, but his crosshair is fairly standard unlike the smaller versions from ZywOo and others. That said, its thin pips allow EliGE to clearly see when his crosshair is over an enemy. It’s wide, too, with the crosshair gap set at 0 but the size at 1.5, the perfect size for a long range headshot. No wonder EliGE has a 49% headshot ratio.

Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, G2 Esports

Simply put, NiKo has one of the smallest crosshairs we’ve ever seen. But its classic green color along with a .5 crosshair thickness means that players can just make it out on a 1920×1090 resolution screen. Once we switched over to Niko’s 1280×960 stretched resolution, the crosshair was more easily visible. Don’t get us wrong, NiKo’s crosshair is still super small. But G2’s new star player has a clear view behind it.
