Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s map Mirage has dozens of standard utility lineups. However, most players still struggle with middle window smoke.

Valve’s antiquated locate Mirage is easily one of the most played maps after Dust II. With its dusty themes, dull colors, and creaky windows, few maps have been able to replace Mirage’s legacy. Despite Valve’s additions of fresh locations, players continue to connect to the old map to relish the competitive experience.

Thanks to Mirage’s long-term in the game, CSGO players have created incredible utility lineups. However, there’s one smoke setup that is hard to master.

Mirage’s middle window, also known as AWPer’s den, is one of the most dangerous spots for Terrorists. The Counter-Terrorists’ sniper can easily reach the shelter first and peak off whoever dares come mid-side. With a strong mid-scout, CTs can bag most rounds in their half. For all these reasons, blocking out middle is integral for the T-side. However, the window smoke is one of the most critical ones in the game, and most players fail to block the mid, consistently.

Here’s how you can ensure your smoke lands in AWPer’s den every single time.

Mirage smoke lineup guide

As soon as the round starts, attach yourself with the trash can in T-base and aim up towards the rusty balcony. Place your crosshair on top of the grillwork, as shown in the image.

Once you’ve got that lined up, press D key (move right) and then press jump bind-key, for example F. This part may require some practice as pressing both keys simultaneously will likely ruin the setup.

The smoke will land in the center of AWPer’s den, blocking the window from all angles. Using this setup, Terrorists can easily push in the connector or A short. Players can also pair up this lineup with A-short smoke to rush into connector safely.

How to set jump bind in CSGO

In a competitive game of CSGO, players may want to have an excellent grip over utility. Jump bind can help smoothly throw smokes, grenade, flashes, and molotovs with accuracy. Bind mostly comes in handy for smokes with critical lineups, like middle window smoke. Here’s how you can set a jump bind-key.

  • Go to Game settings in options.
  • Enable console (~)
  • Go back in-game and press tilde key (~)
  • A command console will appear on your screen.
  • Type or paste “alias “+jumpthrow” “+jump;-attack”; alias “-jumpthrow” “-jump”; bind (any key)”+jumpthrow” here and press enter.
