GeT_RiGhT is the new all-time kill leader in CS:GO
Across all competitions, GeT_RiGhT has racked up 29,132 competitive kills. The Swedish star has surpassed previous kill leader Jaroslaw “paszaBiceps” Jarzabkwoski.
Even though the Swedish team was eliminated from the IEK Katowice Major in a quarterfinals matchup with eventual champion Astralis, GeT_RiGhT still had enough tournament time to break the prestigious record.
“Tough loss in the end, really frustrated right now,” GeT_RiGhT said.
He used the social media platform later that day to thank the fans who approached the team after the team's March 1 elimination.
“I can’t ask for better fans in the world,” GeT_RiGhT said. “I’m forever grateful for you having me as an idol.”
paszaBiceps has taken the dethroning in stride, sharing the announcement on Twitter. The swole pro was only one kill behind at the time of the post.
GeT_RiGhT’s teammate Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg is another CS:GO player in the top five kill leaders list. Sniper Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Polish veteran Wiktor “TaZ” Wojas are also on the leaderboard, but they’re behind GeT_RiGhT’s new record by 100 kills.
The 28-year-old has been playing Counter-Strike professionally since 2003, and is often regarded as one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all-time. He was named “best player” by HLTV.org in both 2013 and 2014.
GeT_RiGhT joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in August 2012 when Counter-Strike: Global Offensive took over the competitive Counter-Strike scene. His long and stories career has most notably included time with Ninjas in Pyjamas, SK Gaming, and Fnatic’s roster, but he’s been with NiP through most of Global Offensive's time in the spotlight.
