mousesports drops chrisJ after 7 years, acoR joins from MAD Lions
mousesports has confirmed the signing of new AWPer Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.
The German organization has finally revealed the new addition to its CSGO division ahead of cs_summit 7. With akoR joining the squad, Chris “chrisJ” de Jong will be emptying his slot to make space for the new recruit.
Please welcome @acoRCS to mouz CS:GO
Frederik will strengthen our roster with immediate effect and takes over the position of Chris “ChrisJ” de Jong. The 23-year-old Dane is joining us from Mad Lions and will make his debut at Summit on Monday. #ReadyWillingAble #TeamRazer pic.twitter.com/mak6tlvDbc

acoR joins mousesports after a yearlong stint with MAD Lions’ Danish lineup. The 23-year old enters mousesports as a dedicated AWPer, a role that he mastered during his short spell at MAD Lions. With acoR on its roster, the Spanish organization emerged on top at Flashpoint Season 1. Thanks to his agility with the AWP, the young star averages a rating of 1.18.
chrisJ seemingly done with mousesports after seven years
The addition of acoR seems to conclude chrisJ’s seven-year run with mousesports. He joined the team in 2013 and helped establish mouz as a perennial contender throughout the last seven years. The highlight of his time with the organization came in late 2019 when mousesports enjoyed a stint as arguably the best team in the world by winning ESL Pro League Season 10 and a number of other tournaments in quick succession.
Will make a proper statement later but for now good luck to the new @mousesports lineup. Appreciate you all @ropzicle @FROZENNcs @karriganCSGO @bymascs @mithRTV @innersh1necsgo @Jandominicus Stefan and ofcourse all the other staff in mousesports.

Since that run, mousesports has been on a steady decline, bottoming out in larger events and even struggling against some tier-two teams. chrisJ in particular struggled mightily during this time, underwhelming on the server.
Despite that, chrisJ is rumored to have a new opportunity already lined up. The AWPer is rumored to be lined up to join the former GODSENT roster, which is lined up to be transferred to League of Legends organization FunPlus Phoenix.
chrisJ’s departure comes as mousesports seems to be looking to rebuild around younger talent. Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras and Robin “ropz” Kool were generally strong despite mousesports’ struggles and could be core members of the team going forward, as mousesports is potentially set to lose another veteran star alongside chrisJ.
Is karrigan leaving mousesports?
acoR may not be the only recruit that mousesports will kick off the new season with. Reports claim that FaZe Clan is looking to reunite with former in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen to fill in for the departing Nikola “NiKo” Kovač. karrigan’s contract with mousesports is winding down, and he has been openly negotiating with other organizations.
mousesports’ chief business development officer, Jan Dominicus has confirmed that they’re prepared for whatever karrigan decides, as the organization is already on the lookout for a new IGL. While Christopher “dexter“ Nong has been linked with mousesports, it’s still unsure whether the moves will materialize as karrigan could ultimately sign a new deal with mousesports.
“He asked us for more time, as it’s a big decision for both of us. Meanwhile, we are of course exploring other options to be prepared in case Finn wants to try something different.” He said.
The organization has said that more updates will follow shortly. It is unclear whether karrigan will be a part of mousesports for its upcoming appearance in cs_summit 7.
