Coby “dizzy” Meadows announced that he will return to streaming after taking an extended break after the passing of streamer Byron “Reckful” Bernstein.

The former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitor turned Apex Legends star took a step back from competition and his personal streaming career back in June after the sudden death of Reckful, an event that had a major impact on the young player. Dizzy explained that he’s spent the last six months “slowly recovering” from both burnout and the effect that Reckful’s death had on him.

dizzy shows off in Valorant upon Twitch return

The first-person shooter phenom revealed a brand new streaming schedule to his fans along with the announcement, saying that he plans on streaming Valorant as his main game. After the tweet, dizzy returned to Twitch, going live for the first time in six months and showing that he hasn’t lost a step during his time away from the streaming world.

Replies to dizzy’s tweet announcing his return were filled with warm wishes from players across all esports, including many fans and even the official Apex Legends account. Former NRG teammate Brandon “aceu” Winn also retweeted dizzy in support of the streamer.

While it doesn’t look as though dizzy has any intention of pursuing another professional career in esports after retiring from NRG in December 2019, the player has an enormous number of fans that tune in to watch him and his skills on both Twitch and YouTube. dizzy started his career in competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before moving to Respawn’s Apex Legends, where he made a name for himself as one of the most accurate aimers in the title. When Valorant released in the summer of 2020, dizzy immediately made the switch alongside Apex Legends teammate aceu.

When does dizzy stream in his new 2021 schedule?

  • Monday: 4:00 p.m. EST
  • Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. EST
  • Friday: 4:00 p.m. EST

The player’s first stream back on January 18 has nearly 200,000 views, and that’s not counting another 7,000 fans who tuned in live. dizzy also laid out his planned streaming schedule as he works his way back from his break. According to his tweet, fans can expect dizzy to take to his game live on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 4 p.m. eastern time.
