The LCS has reintroduced the Fantasy LCS for the upcoming 2021 LCS Spring Split.
The Fantasy LCS is back and better than ever. The LCS has partnered with Sleeper, an app available for iOS and Android. Players can download the app and create their own leagues. The onboarding process is simple, as players just need to provide a phone number or an email address. They will then receive a confirmation code and will be allowed to create an account.
Once in, players can browse through created leagues, or they can create their own league. The app provides several stats for each player and a brief biography. Players that create their own leagues can determine the point distributions, draft order, and the time when the process opens. Players take turns to draft the LCS pros into their teams, so each league cannot have more than 10 players at a time.
Sleeper has a chat function so players can coordinate, as well as a voice lounge. Players can join multiple leagues at the same time. The app is free to download and free to use.
Who will be playing in the LCS Lock-In?
The LCS officially starts on February 5, but fans won’t have to wait that long to watch their favorite teams playing. The 2021 LCS Lock-In tournament starts on January 15 with all ten LCS teams competing.
Not every LCS team is bringing its starting roster to the Lock-In tournament. Counter Logic Gaming won’t be starting top laner Finn "Finn" Wiestål and jungler Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen due to visa delays. Team Liquid is facing a similar issue and jungler Lucas "Santorin" Larsen will miss the start of the tournament. It’s unclear if any other organization will be making roster changes.
What happened to Fantasy LCS?
The Fantasy LCS is back with Sleeper, an app available for iOS and Android worldwide.
What is LoL Fantasy?
In a fantasy league, players can act as the coaches of the team. Each player will get to draft one LCS pro player for each role. By the end of the day, each team receives points based on the player’s performance throughout the event. Whoever gets the most points will win.
