The LCK does full rebrand ahead of the 2021 season
To kick off the 2021 season with style, the LCK has made a full rebrand to its logo, graphics, and overall identity.
The list of franchised teams that will compete in the 2021 LCK season was revealed back in November, which the LCK has now followed up with a big rebrand. The rebrand most notably includes a new logo and graphics for the official broadcast. The new brand introduces a “confident, contemporary design language that signals a bold new era” for the league, according to the LCK.

Not only will the LCK now be known under a new logo, but the official broadcast will also get a completely new look. The whole brand is built on the underlying brand spirit “We Make Legends” and will have a visual design connected to it with a focus on a simplistic and atmospheric design.
“Our visuals are powerful and distinct because of their simplicity,” LCK said. “We use a minimal approach to create layouts that capture a sense of awe, pride, and confidence.”
The visual theme will be presented throughout the whole broadcast with everything from loading screens, team name fonts, post-game stats graphics, and a lot more. The last time League of Legends fans saw a rebrand of this magnitude was when the LEC was for the 2019 season.
The official schedule and start date of the 2021 LCK Spring Split are yet to be announced, but it will likely be in the middle of January.
What does the LCK stand for?
LCK stands for League of Legends Champions Korea and is the biggest league in South Korea. The league has hosted some of the best teams throughout competitive LoL history and will in 2021 continue to do so after a full rebrand. The league has also implemented the franchise system currently known from the LEC, LCS, and LPL.
Which teams play in the LCK 2021?
As the LCK is entering a franchise system, 10 teams have secured a spot in the league. This spot will be owned by the organization, which means that the promotion and relegation system has been removed.
The 2021 LCK teams are:
- DAMWON
- DRX
- Afreeca Freecs
- Fredit BRION
- Gen.G
- Hanwha Life Esports
- KT Rolster
- Liiv SANDBOX
- NS RedForce
- T1
Who won the LCK 2020?
The 2020 LCK season was kicked off with a win from the legendary T1 team. The team managed to win the Spring Split after making a clean run through the playoffs, beating both DRX and Gen.G. In the Summer Split, everything was dominated by DAMWON, who only lost two games throughout the whole split. DAMWON would move on to the 2020 World Championship where the team also won.
