Joakim “jkaem Myrbostad is preparing to reunite with his former 100 Thieves teammates, according to a report by DBLTAP. The 26-year old rifler is reportedly in talks with the Russian organization Extremum.

It seems that the oceanic core is not yet done playing together as  Jay “Liazz Tregillgas,  Sean “Gratisfaction Kaiwai,  Aaron “AZR Ward, and Jkaem may finally reunite under Extremum.

The reports come a few days after Apeks revealed that Jkaem had been released from the contract. Soon after 100 Thieves announced free agency of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, Jkaem and Jks were instantly picked off the market, leaving three players without a roster. However, after playing a few matches in Norwegian team, it seems Jkaem is planning a mega comeback with the oceanic core.

The former 100 Thieves quintet has competed in several CSGO tournaments for over three years. The quadruple goes back to 2018 Renegades roster which was later acquired by 100 Thieves. The core players enjoyed a successful time in North America, only to separate when 100 Thieves announced its CSGO exit.

Apeks has confirmed that Jkaem did not leave as a free agent. Instead, an organization has bought him off, which could mean that a significant move is underway. If the Extremum roster materializes, it will mark an iconic revival of the oceanic core that gave a tough time to many tier-1 teams.

What is Extremum?

According to the reports, Extremum is a Russian esports organization, owned by a business development manager Emir “sngz” Udvincic, and funded by private investors. The organization itself hasn’t commented on the reports of its CSGO entry. If the deal materializes, the fans may see a new esports organization take over European scene in 2021.

The rumors and reports of team Extremum entering CSGO have been circulating for quite some time now. When Jkaem was still under contract with Apeks, DBLTAP reported that Extremum is eyeing the remaining three players of 100 Thieves for its CSGO division. With Jkaem adding to the new roster, Extremum still has a fifth slot empty.

Extremum roster if the deal comes to fruition:

  •  Aaron “AZR Ward
  •  Jay “Liazz Tregillgas
  •  Sean “Gratisfaction Kaiwai
  •  Joakim “jkaem Myrbostad
