Vitality star AWPer and Counter Strike: Global Offensive maestro Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut’s holograms illuminated several buildings and monuments across Paris when the French organization announced the extension of his contract till 2024.

The French prodigy ends the year on a bright note by continuing his stay in the organization that he’s called home since his breakthrough in 2018. The news was announced days after the team’s final showing of the year in Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge.

The organization revealed the holograms of ZywOo’s pictures plastered across different locations in Paris, including the Pantheon, Trocadero, near Arc de Triomphe, and Montmartre. The images had 2024 written in the background, confirming ZywOo’s stay in the team for four more years.

“Being a member of Team Vitality has always been such a natural fit for me. 2020 was a crazy year, and I know that having Team Vitality and my teammates support me was one of the main reasons I excelled. I am really excited to make this commitment and wear the Team Vitality shirt for another five years,” ZywOo said.

ZywOo is the most impactful CSGO player of 2020

ZywOo joined Vitality when he was only 17. At a young age, the player set a benchmark for generations to come by becoming the youngest and only French HLTV player of the year in 2019. With an abundance of MVPs under his belt, he was easily the undisputed CSGO prodigy, and he was just getting started.

His further contributions to Team Vitality only cemented his reputation as a professional player as he showed time and again why he’s considered one of CSGO’s greatest players. The young gun remained constant during 2020 and managed to maintain a striking rating of 1.32. The AWPer finished the final showing of the year with a whopping 1.40 rating. His exceptional clutches and AWP flicks earned him a spot on HLTV’s most impactful players of 2020 alongside Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.

The appreciation from the French fans was well deserved as ZywOo has stuck with the organization for a long time. Since signing his contract in 2018, the AWPer has continued to post incredible performance across different tournaments. His agility with the AWP helped the Frenchmen lift the trophy at several tournaments including Esports Championship Series Season 7 and EPICENTER 2019.

The long-term commitment through 2024 shows the bond of trust between the player and organization and shows that the situation at the French office is looking stable.
