Finnish organization HAVU has completed a deal with ENCE to sign Jani “Aerial” Jussila to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. The 27-year old will move to his new home in January.

Aerial’s move has been in the works for some time, as the transfer discussion between the two teams began when ENCE signed HAVU’s Eetu “sAw” Saha and Joonas “doto” Forss to its CSGO division. The deal has finally been sealed with Aerial joining HAVU’s roster at the beginning of 2021.

Aerial was the part of ENCE’s 2018 overhaul, joining the team alongside former in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. The Finnish player joined ENCE when the team was on the come-up, which eventually saw him help the team push its way into the finals of the 2019 IEM Katowice Major.

His time in ENCE came to an end when he stepped down from the active roster citing “health issues.” The player never mentioned whether the issues were related to burnout, but Jere “sergej” Salo’s departure from the roster came due to a “lack of motivation” and came with hints of internal issues in ENCE. The timing of Aerial’s deactivation suggested that sergej wasn’t alone in this regard.

Aerial will join his former teammate Sami “xseveN” Laasanen in HAVU, who was also a part of ENCE’s 2019 IEM Katowice Major lineup.

Aerial’s departure increases tensions in ENCE

ENCE looked ready to cement itself as one of CSGO’s top organizations, but the team has been in hot water for a long while now. Aerial’s exit leaves ENCE with just four players. Complicating matters further is how Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen’s VAC ban controversy will prevent him from competing in any Valve-sponsored events, including majors and major qualifiers. That makes Aerial’s departure serious blow for ENCE that will likely force the team to make some major changes.

The organization acknowledged that the team is in a dire position. The organization flatly acknowledged its difficult position in an announcement on Twitter:

ENCE’s roster after Aerial’s move to HAVU:

  • Aleksi “Allu” Jalli
  • Miikka “suNny” Kemppi
  • Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen
  • Joonas “doto” Forss
  • Eetu “sAw” Saha (coach)
