Dignitas finalized its 2021 roster with the addition of bot laner Toàn “Neo” Trần, previously known as Asta.

Dignitas promoted Neo from its Academy team and has completed its LCS roster for the upcoming season. With Neo in the roster, Dignitas becomes the only team competing in the LCS in 2021 without an import on its line-up.

The organization is betting on homegrown talent for the upcoming season. Dignitas signed former 100 Thieves solo laners Aaron “FakeGod” Lee in the top lane and Max “Soligo” Soong in the mid lane. In the jungle, the team renewed its contract with Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett for two more years. Neo will be laning on the bottom side along with veteran support Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black.

How will Dignitas do in LCS 2021?

It’s hard to predict how well will Dignitas perform in 2021. Adding new solo laners to a team is always tricky because the rest of the players must adapt to them. This is especially true for the jungler, who must learn how to best assist them.

Luckily for Dignitas, almost every team in the LCS is in a similar position. Not a single roster remains the same, so everyone will be getting accustomed to the new dynamics within their respective squads. The first three weeks of competition will be extremely important because whoever strikes first will get an advantage. As the season progresses, it’s fair to assume that team will get better and the level of competition will go up. The rest of the offseason is the key, because Dignitas has all of its players in one country, the team can start practicing right away.

The bar for this roster is as low as it can be. In 2020, Dignitas finished seventh in both splits, so anything above that will be a great achievement for this roster.

When did Dignitas join the LCS?

Dignitas acquired the controlling share of Clutch Gaming on June 2019. The organization took control of the operation providing support to the team through the summer split and the 2019 World Championship. The team finished the year as Clutch Gaming, but wearing Dignitas’ colors. After Worlds, the team rebranded to Dignitas.

Is Dignitas a North American organization?

Dignitas is an international organization founded in 2003 in Great Britain. Team Dignitas registered as a company in 2004, after acquiring Legion Condor, Sweden Companix, and some Battlefield 1942 clans, among other small teams and organizations. Dignitas currently operates in the United States and sponsors teams across several competitive titles, most notably including League of Legends.
