Sprout benches snatchie and dycha ahead of 2021 season

German Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Sprout has announced the benching of Polish duo Paweł “dycha” Dycha and Fritz “slaxz” from the active roster.

Both players have been placed on the transfer list as sources report Sprout will return to a full-German CSGO squad heading into next year. Jarek “DeKay” Lewis also reported that the team is eyeing ALTERNATE aTTaX duo Marko “kressy” Đorđević  and Fritz “slaxz” Dietrich as possible replacements.

Both players joined Sprout on separate occasions earlier this year, with dycha replacing Nils “k1to” Gruhne in January and snatchie replacing Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný in April.

Although the team lost its arguably best player in k1to, the acquisitions proved more than adequate with Sprout winning ESL Meisterschaft: Spring 2020 and making it to the quarterfinals of DreamHack Open Fall 2020. Sprout achieved notable heights, which culminated in a team-best of 16th place on HLTV’s official rankings.

Although Sprout emerged as the second-best team from Germany, a poor string of form lately might have caused the outcome to mutual consent. 

Dycha said in a TwitLonger statement that “it was an amazing experience to play alongside such players and compete at the highest level. Within this team, we’ve made a constant progress which lead us to top 20 of the best teams in the world. The reason I’ve decided to leave this roster was to find a new place for me, as I think it is the best time to get some fresh air and try something new.”

The player added that the departure was “made on a mutual agreement,” clearing up some suspicions from CSGO fans. 

Both Dycha and snatchie have emerged as top talent on the competitive CSGO scene this year, and could definitely pop up on a team’s holiday wishlist.

Sprout, on the other hand, will be returning to its roots as both kressy and slaxz look poised to take the next step in their carers.
