Johnsun completes promising new FlyQuest 2021 LCS roster

Young bot laner Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen is heading to FlyQuest for the 2021 LCS season. 

Johnsun joins the team after a successful rookie year with Dignitas, where the bot laner managed to show just how talented he is. Even though Dignitas didn’t make it to the LCS playoffs in 2020, Johnsun was by many considered the shining light of the team. Johnsun has previously played with Team SoloMid in the Academy league, where his talent was discovered for the first time. 

Swapping to FlyQuest looks like a big step up for Johnsun, after the organization made it to both LCS playoff finals in 2020 and later participated at the 2020 World Championship, earning a 3-3 record in the group stage that included an upset win over LPL champion Top Esports. While FlyQuest is swapping out its entire 2020 roster, the organization behind is ambitious and hungry for a trophy. 

On the other hand, Dignitas will lose one of its most promising players and try to build up a new team for the 2021 season. Currently, Dignitas only has jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and support Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black on the team. The rest of the Dignitas squad will likely be revealed in the coming weeks. 

At FlyQuest, Johnsun will be playing alongside the experienced top laner Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, who recently left Cloud9 after several years with that organization. Moving with Licorice from C9 was also mid laner Cristian “Palafox” Palafox and support David “Diamond” Bérubé, who will finally get starting spots in the LCS. Lastly, FlyQuest will be fielding Argentinian jungler Brandon “Josedeodo” Villegas, completing the squad that is looking both intriguing and promising.

The new FlyQuest squad will debut when the LCS starts back up at the start of 2021.   

Who is Johnsun?

Johnsun is a 21-year-old bot laner who started out his professional career at Team SoloMid Academy. Back then, Johnsun was known as a great player from solo queue who got the chance to play in a team environment. After he played well in the Academy league, Dignitas picked him up for the 2020 LCS season. Since then, Johnsun has proven himself as one of the best upcoming bot laners in the league and will now play with FlyQuest in 2021. 

What is the FlyQuest LoL roster?

FlyQuest is fielding a completely new squad for the 2021 LCS season. The squad is full of promising talent, with a lot of experience in the top lane to guide all the young players. FlyQuest is currently considered one of the dark horses for the 2021 LCS season.
