Nisqy officially joins Fnatic as mid laner for the 2021 LEC

Fnatic has welcomed Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer as its starter mid laner for the 2021 season.

Fnatic’s roster for 2021 is shaping up. The organization welcomed former Cloud9 mid laner Nisqy to its starting roster. It’s unclear at the moment what will happen to former mid laner Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek, whose contract with the team expired on November 15.

Nisqy is returning to the LEC after two years spent in North America. Under Cloud9, Nisqy attended the 2019 World Championship and achieved an LCS title in Spring of 2020. Nisqy was originally supposed to stay with the team through 2021, but he was replaced by Luka “Perkz” Perković.

Fnatic still missing a key player on its LoL roster

Fnatic’s LoL roster is not ready for 2021 just yet. The organization extended its contract with support Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov and signed Nisqy, but it’s still missing a bottom laner. Earlier this month, the organization said goodbye to Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, who signed with G2 Esports. Fnatic is still looking for an adequate replacement.

There are plenty of names flying around, but the strongest one is former Astralis bottom laner Elias “Upset” Lipp. Upset would bring a different style to the bottom lane. The German player is known for being extremely aggressive and proactive in lane, two traits that Rekkles lacks.

Fnatic starts the year with a challenge

Even before the start of the season, Fnatic has several challenges to overcome. On a recent episode of The Crack Down, top laner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau criticized team jungler Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek. According to Bwipo, Selfmade is a talented but selfish player that doesn’t commit to helping his laners. Bwipo said that he openly discussed the situation with the management, but that after a year, they’ve yet to fully address the issue.

Bwipo also said that he gave up trying to fix the problem and had just accepted that he’s not playing on a team he likes. Fnatic’s management has yet to address Bwipo’s statements.
