T1 has signed a multi-year contract with former DRX support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok.
T1 will have a new support in 2021, as the organization made a big move by adding Keria to its starting roster. The LCK rookie of the year is one of the young prodigies in the region and is considered by many to be the best in his role. Keria is no stranger to the T1 players, as he often plays with T1 bot laner Park "Teddy" Jin-seong on stream.
The signing comes days after T1 announced a new coaching staff that includes world champion duo Lee "Zefa" Jae-min and Yang "Daeny" Dae-in.
Keria, and the rest of the DRX players, are just some of the big names that entered the free agency on November 17. T1 and its coaches might be on the lookout for new pieces for its LCK roster.
It’s unclear what will happen to Lee "Effort" Sang-ho, the current support for T1. Effort and Keria might split the playing time, or Effort could be out of the team soon.
Despite having all of its roster under contract for at least another year, T1 might be looking to upgrade at certain positions. The biggest name on the market right now is world champion top laner Jang "Nuguri" Ha-gwon, previously of DAMWON Gaming. Every LCK team could be in the middle of a bidding war for Nuguri, as he is among the world's top free agents. Getting a player of his caliber would be the cherry on top for any organization ahead of the 2021 season.
T1 fans are still not happy with the organization
After deleting its social media accounts for a little over 24 hours, T1 is back on Twitter and acting as though nothing ever happened. The organization offered no explanation for its disappearance and upon its return, continued to publish content as though it was business as usual.
Fans are not happy with T1’s lack of acknowledgment of any of the multiple ongoing controversies surrounding the team. The organization is pretending that everything’s fine and hoping fans can forget about it all sooner than later.
