Fnatic has reportedly made verbal commitments to sign Cloud9 mid laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer, according to Esportmaniacos.

The player free agency window is only a few days away from opening and it could start out with Fnatic signing a new mid laner. This follows previous rumors that current Fnatic mid laner Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek wouldn’t be staying in that role with the team in 2021.

Following the recent news of G2 Esports bot laner Luca “Perkz” Perković joining C9 for the 2021 LCS season as its new mid laner, it seems very fitting that Nisqy will now be moving on from the team to try his luck elsewhere. If the reports are true, the Belgian mid laner will return to Fnatic where he got his start in pro League of Legends.

Nisqy started his career with Fnatic Academy in 2016 before traveling to North America to play for Team EnVyUs in the 2017 NA LCS Summer Split. The young mid laner had a decent showing in the LCS before returning to Europe.  Nisqy moved to Splyce in 2018 before going back to North America once again, this time joining Cloud9. Together with Cloud9, Nisqy has made it to the 2019 World Championship and won the 2020 LCS Spring Split.

Even though his performance on C9 has been stellar, the team didn’t meet expectations in 2020. The team dominated the spring split but didn’t manage to perform when it mattered and missed the 2020 World Championship.

Now Nisqy looks to make another return to Europe, but the pressure will be greater than ever. Playing for Fnatic is no easy task, as fans and experts always have high expectations for the organization. He will replace Nemesis, who didn’t shine in 2020 and will look to join another team for the 2021 season.

Nisqy will likely sign with Fnatic on Monday, November 16.
