It has not been a good start to the preseason for Vici Gaming jungler Lu “Leyan” Jue after he abused a crucial jungle bug in solo queue.

The Chinese jungler used a game-changing exploit in solo queue on Graves. The bug allows junglers to kill neutral jungle camps in just one shot. This means that both the Baron and Dragons can be killed in the blink of an eye, giving the abuser’s team a huge advantage.

Leyan’s current team, Vici Gaming, made a quick response to the matter, stating that they will be punishing the jungler by fining him three months of salary. Furthermore, the LPL is stepping in to punish the cheater further. According to the LPL, Leyan has violated several rules and will be banned from the upcoming All-Star Event, the 2020 Demacia Cup, and the first two matches in the 2021 LPL Spring Split.

Leyan isn’t the only one to get punished in this case, as the LPL has chosen to fine Vici Gaming for around $7,500. The team is responsible for its players’ actions in solo queue.

Riot Games China is known for its hard punishments when it comes to misbehavior, even though some western fans think that it’s a hard punishment for exploiting something on the preseason match that is known to have a lot of bugs.

Riot has since fixed the bug after it started to appear in solo queue. It was fixed during Riot’s first preseason balance hotfix and it likely won’t be the last time that game-breaking bugs appear on the preseason patch.
