As the esports industry continues to grow, one of the biggest benefactors of that growth has proven to be the rising fantasy esports marketplace.

Fantasy sports are one of the most popular ways for fans to engage with traditional sports. It has also proven to be among the most profitable for the companies taking part. And as esports grows, so too are we seeing the growth of fantasy esports.

Daily fantasy and player props have been at the forefront of this growth. Player props are relatively simple opportunities for users to predict whether a given player will perform over or under a set of expectations.

It’s a popular method of fantasy because it allows players to closely follow some of the most popular players in each sport or game and to choose them based on their performance. It also eliminates much of the research required to play traditional fantasy games.

That trend is now coming to esports. One of the top purveyors of these types of props is ThriveFantasy.

Users choose 5 out of 10 available players to build a custom lineup of top pros. The players’ performances are easy to track, given that ThriveFantasy features real-time updates and a secondary screen experience. The more props a player wins, the more points they earn. And with more points, players can take a bigger share of the prize pool.

Those prize pools can be pretty big, too. ThriveFantasy has already awarded over $1,750,000 in prizes to date, with much more to come. The platform features Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Dota 2, and promises that more games are set to follow.

It’s little wonder that player props have become so popular a method of fantasy play given the ease of entry and the potential rewards. As esports continues to grow and so too do fantasy esports, there’s little doubting that the potential prizes will only increase. For knowledgeable fans who like to think they’re ahead of the game, it’s a big opportunity in a marketplace that’s getting bigger every day.
