Only 12 participants remain in contention for a perfect Pick’Em going into the 2020 League of Legends World Championship final.

It’s been an incredible 2020 World Championship event so far, with many great storylines. The two best teams remain at the tournament with DAMWON Gaming and Suning competing for the Summoner’s Cup. This means that the final round of Pick’Ems is left, and only 12 people have the chance to make a perfect run.

Going into the last semifinal between Suning and Top Esports, 193 participants still had the chance to make the perfect Pick’Em. But a surprising victory for Suning cut that number down to only 12.

Going into the final, the last 12 participants will be competing for a complete Alienware Aurora Battlestation. The limit of prizes was set to a maximum of 15, but Riot won’t have to worry about that limit any longer. With 12 people left it seems unlikely that everyone will pick the same winner. Depending on the final result, this could end up as the most predictable Worlds event in many years.

Suning has spoiled many Pick’Ems at Worlds 2020

This year’s Worlds has been one of the most predictable in recent years, but Suning has made sure that the outcome hasn’t been too easy to predict. The LPL third seed has stunned the whole world by topping group A against G2 Esports and others, followed up by wins against domestic rivals JD Gaming and Top Esports in the playoffs.

Suning has been the underdog in most of their matchups so far, and this trend will continue into the final. The underdog title seems to be fitting Suning well, as they can play their own game without too much pressure on the team’s young shoulders.

If Suning wins the final, it will be one of the biggest underdog stories in League of Legends history. A comparable story would be Taipai Assassins at the 2012 World Championship, who made an unexpected run to win the Summoner’s Cup.

The 2020 World Championship will be concluded on Saturday, October 31, when DAMWON Gaming and Suning clash.
