Pro Overwatch team Florida Mayhem are already making changes before the new season gets underway.

Florida Mayhem’s inaugural Overwatch League season was one the team would like to forget. Finishing with a 7-33 record, the Mayhem were second-to-last in the overall standings.

Korean tank player Sung-hoon “SNT” Kim will now be moving from active player to a coaching and substitute role. SNT joined the team after Stage 1, managing to only slightly improve Florida Mayhem’s fortunes. Before joining the Mayhem, SNT grinded his way through the Korean scene including the Overwatch Apex series, where he played with such teams as LW and Meta Athena.

Still, SNT’s aggressive style of play never fully gelled with the rest of Florida’s roster.

The second season of the Overwatch League is bringing forth a number of changes to the organization. Apart from switching its roster from a European lineup to an almost entirely Korean one, changes have also been made to Contenders team Florida Academy.

Korean coach Young-su “yeah” Jung will be replacing Marvin “Promise” Scröder, who has been promoted to the main roster. Yeah made a name for himself in the competitive scene as the coach of the two-time winners of Overwatch Contenders: China, Lunatic-Hai.

The last addition to the Florida Academy roster will be new DPS player Cameron “Wub” Johnson. Wub has played in the Overwatch Contenders series for teams Second Wind and Kungarna.

With its revamped roster and other organizational changes, Florida Mayhem will be looking to leave a better impression on fans in Season 2.
